In this high school setting the responsibility for the management of assistive technology fall mostly on the individual student. There were limited opportunities for Rebecca to demonstrate her knowledge and abilities during observed lessons although in professional dialogue throughout her prac and when encouraging students, Rebecca was able to demonstrate her knowledge and understanding of this complex aspect of teaching.

Rebecca identified the same aspect of a lesson that I was going to give her feedback on and was able to offer realistic and informed self reflection on all her lessons. Rebecca participated in professional discussions with staff members offering informed opinions, sharing information and incorporating new information into her practice.
Rebecca is a very competent and able teacher. Throughout her practicum she demonstrated her strong ability to assess a student utilizing formal and informal assessment, observation and professional dialogue. She was then able to develop engaging classroom activities that challenged student and extended their learning. She also has a sound understanding of the adjustment and accommodations that are required for hard of hearing and Deaf students to successfully engage in mainstream settings.
