Jenny was demonstrating that she could identify the audition, receptive, expressive and cognitive goals for the IEP however at times found it challenging in knowing how to apply the audition and speech goals with the sessions in her teaching practise. Jenny did identify this as an area of improvement within her own professional development.

Jenny has not worked with any children or school aged children that have unilateral or bilateral cochlear implants or with children that that BAHA' / contact mini devices. Within her teaching practice Jenny was starting to become more aware of the children' hearing devices working and monitoring access to sound by completing the Ling six sound test.

Jenny was extremely studious and took on board the feedback given and applied this feedback within her teaching practice this was evident by the fourth video and session she conducted. Jenny conducted extra study hours outside of the practicum days by reading more specifically about the curriculum development for hearing impairment from children aged from birth to 6 years , Auditory skills development and the speech and articulation hierarchy.
By the end of Jenny's second practicum I believe Jenny will be more aware of her own teaching practise and adopting more audition goals within her sessions now. Jenny demonstrated improvements within the strategies discussed and demonstrated gains in being able to apply the following strategies and techniques within her teaching e.g. modelling, acoustic highlighting, facilitating speech and spoken language within a natural rate and pace. She was able to expand on some of the children's auditory goal . Jenny also improved in being able to discuss with the parent / caregiver what the goals were at the end of the session .
Do you consider that the Student is at risk of failing to achieve “Graduate level” by the end of their overall Practicum experience? No
