Assistive technology is new to Zynab and she is still learning to use and manage devices. She was very keen to learn about how to use, check and manage assistive devices and used the WCD consistently when teaching. It will be good for Zynab to practice a hands on approach to independently monitor and troubleshoot devices at the start of each session/day in her next practicum

Zynab demonstrated good ability to receive advice and follow through on suggestions given to improve her practice. She showed readiness and willingness to take on constructive feedback and reflect on her practice. Zynab needed guidance with making adjustments specific to DHH students and readily applied what was learnt from discussions and suggestions made.
The opportunity to engage with classroom teachers was limited due to the nature of this practicum - Zynab did however demonstrate a willingness to develop a rapport with the staff in each class visited.
Zynab was always punctual and came well prepared for her visits. She quickly developed a rapport with the students and was interested in learning about their needs. Zynab readily asked questions to increase her knowledge and demonstrated an eagerness to learn and improve at all times. She was aware of her own limitations and able to recognise the areas she needed to strengthen. Zynab presented with solid teaching ability and always had good ideas and resources to implement her target. Working with DHH students is new to Zynab and specific skills related to DHH will come with experience and confidence. It was not always possible to observe her skills in a range of domains due to the nature of the Itinerant role and the fact that Zynab was only attending one day a week.
It was an absolute pleasure working with Zynab - she was easy to get along with and always interested in extending her skills. I am confident that she will be an asset to any future employer as her skills grow and strengthen.
Do you consider that the Student is at risk of failing to achieve “Graduate level” by the end of their overall Practicum experience? No
