Annette monitored the use of hearing aids and CI's by doing the Ling listening task in a variety of ways (depending on the age and developmental level of the child). She did not get the opportunity to use FMs in sessions but is familiar with these.

Annette took on all the feedback from her supervising teacher and parents in her sessions. She used this information to enhance and develop her skills. She was also able to independently reflect on her own teaching and the child's performance in her sessions to target future learning goals and enhance the engagement of both the child and the parent. She worked particularly hard on developing her skills in parent coaching and embedding goals in the child's routines which is vital in Early Intervention.
Annette was able to seamlessly join our large team of teachers and therapists during her time at the centre and readily shared her expertise and experience as a teacher.
Annette is an experienced and competent teacher and this was evident throughout her practicum. She readily identified gaps in her learning and the additional skills required for working with very young children with hearing impairments. She worked consistently to develop these skills and expand her learning throughout her prac. Her communication and rapport with other professionals, parents, and children was excellent. With time Annette has all the makings of becoming a great Teacher of Deaf and I wish her well in the future.
