Sarah is always keen to undertake professional learning to broaden her knowledge and improve her skills. Throughout her practicum she would seek feedback on her lessons and then adjust her next lesson based on the feedback she was given. She used the opportunity of working in a different school to seek knowledge from different teachers on adjustments and strategies to support students with hearing impairment. Sarah took advantage of resources that were not commonly at her disposal.
During Sarah's practicum she demonstrated a high level of assessing, planning, teaching and reporting. She was able to adjust her lessons to meet the needs of the child, school and teachers sometimes at short notice without being flustered. She used many and varied auditory verbal techniques that were very effective. She was able to incidentally take advantage of teaching opportunities as they arose during the lesson. Sarah established a friendly warm rapport with her students very quickly putting them at ease in her presence. Sarah conducted herself in a highly professional manner.
Do you consider that the Student is at risk of failing to achieve “Graduate level” by the end of their overall Practicum experience? No
