Hillal observed sessions and accessed the children's individual ISP documents, written by the child's teacher. After careful consideration, observation and discussion the student confidently took sessions with the children and the families. Goals were within the SMART goal framework. Hillal was willing to share information regarding his individual session planning, prior, to each session. He was open to constructive criticism and the inclusion of suggested activities to pair with the individual child's goals. He used initiative and improvisation in order to adjust his teaching materials to meet the child's goals within the session.
He engaged with many different staff members, all of whom reflected positively regarding his ability to participate and link theory to practice
Hillal was professional and well prepared at all times. He willingly participated in additional opportunities for learning, when staff had availability.
He undertook every opportunity to participate in all aspects of the Early Learning Program including additional tasks , such as planning and delivering an activity for Early Learning Group. He ensured that his written work was current ,and that I was informed of his progress at all times.
Hillal delivered well planned and goal appropriate activities, taking the time to include the parent both during and after the session in outcomes, suggestions for consolidation with activities at home and ideas for future planning.
His communication and manner ensured that he collaborated well with both the team, the individual children, and their families. I am exited for Hillal's future and would hope that he returns to Early Intervention at some time in his future career as his professional skills and knowledge would be an asset in this field.
