Ruth worked with a wide variety of professionals in her time at RIDBC these included TOD, speech therapists, Child care workers. She reflected on current practices and was able to converse openly about relevant issues to professionals in the field.Ruth brought already acquired skills to the practicum as she is already a professional in the field of deafness ,this was
clearly evident in her adaption of sessions and follow up sessions with her focus child,her understanding on the importance of technology,knowledge of child development.
Ruth participated with great enthusiasm throughout her time at RIDBC ,she was professional and immersed herself in learning about preschool and early intervention.Ruth was confident in dealing with daily Cochlear and hearing aid checks.Ruth's sessions were developmentally appropriate,she took on support from her supervisor and was able to put these into practice in her sessions.It was very evident that there was positive outcomes from her planning and session work she did with the children.
She treated the children and staff with respect .Ruth's desire for further learning was demonstrated by asking very relevant questions throughout her practicum.
